Training

Working in Film & TV doesn’t just involve being in front of the camera as an actor or working as a director or producer. Bad Wolf’s ambition to foster a global production hub in Wales created Screen Alliance Wales, based at Wolf Studios Wales, to educate, promote and train production crews and build infrastructure from primary school children to graduates from the universities and colleges in the area.

Screen Alliance Wales opens the doors of the studios and provides an insight into the variety of careers in the industry from production design to construction and hair and makeup to camera work.

From providing paid trainee positions for graduates, to a classroom in the studio for children from nine upwards to get real-life experience on a film set, Screen Alliance Wales sows the seeds for the creatives of the future.

Screen Alliance Wales is a stand-alone philanthropic company. It has been created by Bad Wolf as the company’s founders recognise that Wales needs an agency to educate, train and promote TV crews and build a lasting production infrastructure throughout Wales. The Bad Wolf board has agreed the company and its subsidiaries will make a financial commitment to Screen Alliance Wales for a period of two years. This commitment will be a mixture of in kind and cash investments. Bad Wolf believes that through this commitment, Welsh screen talent and crew will be trained and given the skills and inspiration to make high end drama.
